I feel like a grandma in saying this...or maybe just a mom, but who knows...
SO, questions of the night are: 1. are kids growing up faster, or is it just me? and number 2...what's the rush???!!!!! number 3...are parents clueless????!!!! I don't understand.
Does it bother anyone else when you hear a five year old girl singing "holla black girl", when you have a 7 year old girl tying up her shirt so her belly hangs out, you have little boys calling each other the "n" word, a camper tell you that their favorite singer is eminem, and of course, the infamous plastics on fridays talking about being "teases". WHAT??!!!! I know i've posted about it before, i guess it just baffles me. I think if my mom heard eminem, she wouldn't want me to listen to it now (not that i would care to anyway)...and im almost 20 years old...not 9. I didn't know what a tease was when i was 10 (i probably was still playing with care bears and hmmm, littlest pet shop (ps, does anyone remember those, they were cool!)), and pretty much, i didn't even own real make-up until i was 15 or 16. I just wonder if parents like, even realize it. It's funny, i always enjoyed working check-out tent last year for the sole reason that within 10 seconds of seeing a parent interact (or not) with their son or daughter, you can tell why the kid is the way the are (whether good or bad).
I just don't understand the rush for kids to grow up so fast. Thus are the baffled questions of kimberlina for the day.
On another note, regardless of all my questions, I LOVE CAMP, and EVERYONE involved...hehe. I miss buffalo bradley. That is all

Love and HUGS...
Kimberlina

AMEN! PREACH ON MY SISTA! That post right there is why when I become President I am going to push for the requirement that alll students take parent education and child care classes in high school in order to graduate. Seriously, the buck needs to be coming to a screeching halt right about now.
